SHIPPING DELAYS 

Please note that shipping companies are experiencing peak season increases which can cause delivery delays. Alpen will continue to despatch all orders, including overnight satchels, however there may be a delivery delay that is beyond our control.  Please refer to the relevant shipping company websites when you receive your tracking information for updates.

Pallet Orders:  Pallet shortages are requiring us to send our the majority of orders on plain pallets.


Q: How long will my order take to arrive?
A: There are a few factors which will determine how long it will take your order to arrive. If you hold a credit account, as soon as your order is picked by the warehouse it will be shipped. Shipping can take anywhere from 1 day to 5 days depending on where you are located. For outer country areas, sometimes there can be a 2-week shipping period due to onforwarders. Alpen strive for a next day dispatch on orders and use a variety of freight companies to deliver your goods as quickly as possible. You can contact our Sales Team to retrieve your con note details for tracking purposes.  Peak season delays are normally experienced between Oct-Dec annually where order picking can extend by a few days.

Q: How long will shipping take?
A:
For the majority of orders, we use a freight company called Direct Freight.  You can check delivery estimates directly with them via this link: https://www.directfreight.com.au/ETACalculator.aspx

Q: Do you close over Christmas & Public Holidays?
A: We usually take a break between Christmas Eve and New Years Day.  As the lead up to Christmas is peak season for both party and hospitality industries, we recommend getting your orders in well before Christmas - normally two weeks before we close is a safe bet!  We'll update the website during this period. We do not operate during the NSW public holidays.  Our website remains open for orders 24 hours a day, 365 days per year and your order will be processed on the next working day.

Q: I have a pre-paid account, how can I pay?
A: You can pay for your order online during checkout using our secure eWay and PayPal payment gateways.  Using these secure portals allows you to safely use your credit card.  You can also do a bank transfer via PayPal - you must have a PayPal account linked to your bank account for this method. This is the fastest method for pre-paid orders. 

Q: What is the minimum order value?
A: Alpen accept a minimum order value of $50 ex GST. Freight is then applied depending on your location and delivery method (standard or express). Free freight is available for orders placed online over the value of $300 ex GST.  (The free freight order value is higher for orders placed via our customer service team or sales representatives.)

Q: Can I buy just 1 packet of a product?
A: No, Alpen are a wholesaler so all products are sold in wholesale quantities which is normally a “unit of sale” comprised of a few packets of each product. For individual packets, you can buy from one of our onsellers.

Q: Pricing:
A: All products are shown ex GST. GST of 10% will be applied to your order during checkout and is visible on your invoice. Website pricing can occasionally have an error due to computer system errors.  We strive to ensure this doesn't happen, but if we notice an error in the pricing in your order, you will be contacted to discuss. 

Q: Are Alpen an Australian Company?
A: YES! Alpen is a born and bred Australian family company. While many products are sourced from around the globe, Alpen is proudly Australian owned and operated.  Alpen are now in the third generation of the Byrne family.

Q: Where do Alpen supply their products to?
A: Alpen have a sales team which covers every state and territory of Australia. We also have distributors in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Q: How can I become a customer?
A: Complete the “Registration Form” online and the appropriate Sales Representative will be in contact to confirm your account – remember, you must be an ABN holder and be an onseller of our products!

Q: Can I return a product?
A: Yes. If a product is delivered and is faulty or broken on arrival, please complete the Returns form online or contact our Customer Service Team within 5 days of delivery to place a claim. Return or disposal of the product will then be organised. Please note, you MUST know your invoice number and have products ready to return in original condition if the claim is approved. Please see our "delivery information" for details on change of mind returns and you can view our full returns policy on our Terms & Conditions page.  Please note that we do not accept Change of Mind returns on products purchased from our CLEARANCE page.  These products have been reduced in value to sell and can not be returned.  Please note that we do not accept returns of COVID-19 related PPE products unless there is a manufacturing default.  

Q: What brands do Alpen represent?
A: Alpen are proud to stock many of our own brands that have been developed with industry knowledge spanning almost 50 years!

Alpen’s “Parties for Everyone” range has existed in the market for decades and has recently had a rebranding to the new Alpen Occasions Party - this covers a comprehensive range of party products including party poppers, sparklers, hats, masks, party favours, noisemakers, banners, decorations, and much more! Two closely branded ranges are “Occasions Balloons” which provides a great range of retail latex balloons in straight colours and various shapes and sizes including modelling and water balloons! “Occasions Candles” also displays a large, co-ordinated range of party, numeral, novelty, and decorative candles!

Alpen’s “Occasions Tableware” brand brings top quality colour co-ordinated plastic tableware to the market. The range consists of 17 colours of lunch plates, dinner plates, oval / steak plates, bowls, cups and cutlery! This range has been well matched to our retail tissue napkins and our plastic rectangle, roll, and round table covers. The TableWow collection also stocks a variety of themed paper plates, cups, party invitations and more to cater to the youngest family members, including fairies, pirates, monsters, owls, and a beautifully co-ordinated range of rainbow polka dots, stripes or chevron designs! At the other end of the spectrum, TableWoW’s range also contains stunning silver plastic platters, plates, and cutlery – giving your table the WOW you were after!

Alpen’s “Catering Collection" has been in household cupboards for generations, starting with the humble Toothpick! This range has grown to be a full service table top solution for catering disposables including bulk napkins, doyleys, food and drink accessories including decorated food picks, steak markers, swizzle sticks, flag picks and many more. Restaurant Docket books, muffin cases, baking cases, disposable chef hats and tabletop papers are all additions to the Catering Collection!

To compliment the Catering Collection, Alpen’s brand, “Eco Collection,” brings the latest ecofriendly trends to the market including Palm Leaf bowls, plates and platters, along with disposable wooden boats, wooden cones, wooden cups, curly picks, bamboo chopsticks, heart picks, and wooden cutlery. All these products are environmentally sustainable and practical!
Other ranges which are well recognisable in Alpen’s range are “Gala Crepe Paper” and “Best Wishes from Alpen,” covering a range of crepe paper and streamers which are wonderful for many craft occasions and educational purposes and also our range of wrapping paper and gift cards.
